Julie "Mountain Goat" George
Julie and her family have always enjoyed hiking and backpacking. "When I'm in the woods, God really speaks. It allows me time to get quiet in His creation. He reveals his awesomeness. Most importantly, He reveals His incredible love for me."
In 2020, Julie felt God leading her to start a hiking ministry in the N. GA and SC area to encourage people to allow God to renew and transform lives through hiking, hence the start of Hiking on Purpose.
Julie is a certified Revelation Wellness Outdoor Leader, squad 02. She is also a certified Wilderness First Responder. She works alongside Revelation Wellness Outdoor (RevWild) as a Fireteam leader for other RevWild training, and leads groups Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon with this organization as well.
In 2024, Julie hiked the Appalachian Trail as the designated Chaplain for the Holston Conference ATOM (Appalachian Trail Outdoor Ministry).
